Popular group・ARASHI’s 53rd single “Doors ～Yuuki no Kiseki” (Released on 8 November), yielded a sales of 571,000 copies in the first week, and reached the No.1 at the 11/20 Oricon Weekly Single Ranking. This is their 49th single overall and the 42nd consecutive single which yielded No.1. Their frequency of getting No.1 overall in singles is the same as B’z and got the No.1 tie in history record.

This single is the theme song of the TV drama “Saki ni Umareta Dake no Boku” (Saturdays 22:00, NTV) which member Sakurai Sho is the leading actor. The sales is a good start being the first work since the last four single “I seek／Day light” (Released May last year) which yields more than 500,000 sales in first week.

This ARASHI’s 53rd new single “Doors ～Yuuki no Kiseki～ (Doors ～Track of Bravery～)” is the theme song of the NTV Saturday drama “Saki ni Umareta Dake no Boku” in which Sakurai Sho-san is the leading actor. While worrying about various organisations, society, and human relationship, the importance of facing the worries, and looking and stepping forward is carried through the warm and reassuring medium ballade, a message song is made.

The First Press Limited Edition 1 will include the video clip and making of “Doors ～Yuuki no Kiseki～”. And the First Press Limited Edition 2 will include the video clip and making of the coupling song “NOW or NEVER” which is a song with light POP rhythm synchronised with catchy choreography. [Rest day and journey overseas]
- Sho-san said that he has enough sleep, surprisingly (despite his busy schedule).
- In rest days, he wakes up in the morning, then takes shower, then goes to gym for training, then goes shopping or watching films, he decides his schedule during rest days.
- Recently when he had two day rest, he went overseas. For instance, he went to Korea, Thailand, Vietnam.
- He had two friends went to Korea, they ate the soft ice cream with 30cm length. During journey he took videos and photos, and two men took the soft ice cream, and said (girlishly) “It’s long~ Let’s eat it~” and took video. Then he heard a Korean beside him asking him “Is this Sakurai-san?” and he was shocked.
- Around 2012, Sho-san went to Istanbul. It was a very beautiful place. The cuisine is one of the world best three cuisines. A picture of his visiting the Blue Mosque was shown. Sho-san likes the place because it is with rich history and has various countries’ cultures, for instance it has mosques and churches, the Christian culture and Islamic culture, various histories are gathered there. After saying this Sho-san made joke of himself that he talked about it too seriously and it seemed that he was doing ZERO.
- Basically he does shopping himself. He almost does not shop online, it was not because it’s troublesome, just he has not such habit / culture for online shopping.

[Shopping]
- When he goes shopping, surprisingly he would buy goods which members’ have CM on. When there is goods A, B, C, he would buy the one which members have CM on. Then the staff of the shop would say “Oh, oh, all these are ARASHI’s goods~”. He would feel this bit embarrasing.
- Recently he bought a 360 degree camera and he likes it. During the TV drama filming, there was a electric shop nearby the filming site, so he went there when he had time. And he used it to film the co-casts sitting around the table. A photo of his using this camera was shown. Then he did drama promo.

[Friendship]
- Recently he is getting along well with Kikuchi, he would call Sho-san “big bro”. Last year end, Kikuchi came to watch ARASHI’s concert, then they had meal together, starting from Matsumoto-san, with Nakamaru, Ueda, JUMP’s members, SZ. It was on Monday and Sho-san had ZERO so he didn’t go. After ZERO when he was back home, Kikuchi called him and said “Big bro, the meal ended, can I have a drink with you?” Since Sho-san was back home already, he asked Kikuchi if he wanted to come to his home for a drink. Then Kikuchi came to his home and said “Big bro, I was nervous.” He asked Kikuchi why and he said “I was sitting with Matsumoto-kun and Hey! Say! JUMP members, no~ I was nervous!” And Sho-san thought “Whose home are you at when you say this? It’s my home! I’m ARASHI!” Kikuchi was so relaxingly lingering on the sofa of Sho-san’s home and said “I was nervous~” and Sho-san thought that it was my home! (giggle)
- Recently Sho-san also met V6’s Okada Junichi-kun. Okada-san said that he was going to see a katana and asked Sho-san if he would join. It seemed that Okada-san was going to visit a professional smith who would like to show him a katana he made. Sho-san didn’t join the visit.

[Rap recording]
- The programme broadcast a video clip of Sho-san recording the rap of new song “Hikari” in studio. He wrote the rap after he completed ZERO and went back home. He was putting a white cloudy tee for the recording.

- The programme broadcast a video clip of Sho-san meeting Koyama-kun and Kamenashi-kun having meal together after 24HTV. From their conversation it seemed that Sho-san treated the meal. At the end of the clip Sho-san opened his eyes wide. In studio he said that he was searching the button of the video recorder.

[Sakurai Sho’s Mystery 1 - In fact detest camouflage?]
- All members gave him camouflage as birthday gifts. He is not detesting camouflage but just with a feeling “it’s enough!!” (giggle) because he already has lots of camouflage like bag, sunglasses. Nino gave him a pair of sunglasses without camouflage, but when put it off he found camouflage in the inner side of the temples and he thought it was so detailed.
- ARASHI debut in November 1999, and Leader’s birthday was in November, so since their debut they exchanged birthday gifts and continued this.
- Ogura-san also gave them birthday gifts every year. Ogura-san said that at first it was MatsuJun who said to him that he wanted a watch, and he gifted MatsuJun a vintage watch. And Ogura-san thought that he had gifted MatsuJun and it would be bad if he didn’t gift the other members. He thought a lot what to gift every year. In particular Sho-kun seemed to be with no interest / hobby, so he asked Sho-kun “What do you want?” and Sho-san said “I want to drink whiskey.” Sho-san said then Ogura-san gifted him two big boxes with various whiskey glasses and (decanter). He thought that perhaps Ogura-san was considering the price of the watch he gifted MatsuJun so he bought whiskey glasses set of similar price.
- Sho-san said that it is not possible for ARASHI members to return gifts with such value. Ogura-san said that ARASHI gifted him thing with the name “ARASHI” and he thought it great. Sho-san said that it was original thing, for instance, when Ogura-san celebrated his 70th birthday, they gifted him a bottle of whiskey with label “Ogura 70”. Ogura-san said that he got a towel blanket with “OGU-3·ARASHI” (Ogu-san, ARASHI) and a sweater also with “OGU-3·ARASHI”.

[Sakurai Sho’s Mystery 2 - Will go to stand-up soba restaurant?]
- Sho-san said in morning he didn’t want to spend too much time on meal and he liked the stand-up restaurant which spends short time waiting for the dish.
- Sho-san was not discovered because the customers were standing side to side and they didn’t see each other.
- Sho-san likes kakesoba (soba in broth) with onsen egg. He also likes soba with chilly oil. During drama filming he went to another restaurant and ate soba with chilly oil.

- Sho-san likes roll cake but it was not him who put roll cake in takoyaki. During live in Osaka, staff prepared devices for them to make takoyaki. After rehearsal and before official performance, Aiba-san, Ohno-san, and Ninomiya-san had a mini act that Aiba-san was shop owner and the other members were staff and they made takoyaki, but nobody was watching them (giggle). Matsumoto-san was in working meeting so was not in green room, and they went to him who was in the next room and said “We added things Sho-chan likes into the takoyaki. Sho-chan likes red pickled ginger, right~?” “Sho-chan likes roll cake?” “Roll cake is added.” And they gave me takoyaki with roll cake. The programme then broadcast the video clip of DIGIT making, takoyaki making.
- Sho-san said that they have been doing such thing all along. Recently before the official performance of concert Ohno-san and Aiba-san had act about “ladies who eat dessert”. It was like “Oh-chan, Oh-chan, do you eat cake~?” “Um, I do~” “Today we have this cake~” and they both said “Let’s take a photo~” They have been doing such act all along!

[Sakurai Sho’s Mystery 3 - Really don’t cry at all?]
- Sho-san said “during the era when I should cry, I was just unable to cry”.
- During 2004 or 2005, he acted in a musical “West Side Story”. An overseas theatrical director who gave them training said “Search for the switch to cry”. Sho-san thought “Even you say so…”
Director: What memory do you have which would make you cry? Like when you dog died?
Sho-san: I don’t have a dog…
Director: When your family member passed away?
Sho-san: Indeed my grandpa passed away…
Director: Remember that time!
