I was shocked when I first heard about the offer.
I got an offer for Taiga drama!?
What's more, to act Ieyasu who is well-known to everyone!?
And the screenwriter is Kosawa-san whom I love!!

However, when I was delighted about the offer, I was also tremendously anxious.
I wonder if I could play such a big role.

I first heard about this drama in last November.
I wanted to work as ARASHI until the very end of 2020, so I thought I could not make a decision on such a significant offer at that time, and staff waited for me.
I am really grateful to all the staff.

And, I thought about this offer again after the new year.
There could be no bigger challenge than this one for me who have got off the cruise called ARASHI for a while and am trying to find a new adventure.

Next, I would like to take this big challenge, creating a work with my heart and soul with all the staff.

The image of Ieyasu that Kosawa-san created is very novel.
I hope to work with him together to create a new Ieyasu that is different from the past (image).
And I hope to act, with my passion, this character who tried his best to survive in the troubled times and finally ended the Sengoku period.

I shall work to my best to produce this entertainment that can be enjoyed not only by the audience who like Taiga drama but also by the younger generation on Sunday nights.
