Once again, Happy New Year.
This year please also support Gutto-Sports!

4 days since Kouhaku completed. There is somewhat still lingering about the show.
This time, I had a big discovery when watching Kouhaku.
That is Master’s narration. He is good at it.
Should it be called a seriously reading tone.. the quality of his voice is very comfortable.
“Master has such talent!” I newly discovered it.
I knew that [Master] has done narration work for NHK *21人の輪 〜震災のなかの6年生と先生の日々〜; 21人の輪 〜あれから5年後の子どもたち 福島県相馬市〜*,
when I first heard [Master’s narration in Kouhaku], I thought that one day I hope Master will do narration in this programme.

In my days of direction, when I was driven into the editing work,
the only thing I looked forward to was to consider who to perform the narration work.
When I produced the programme as director for Player Asada Mao before Sochi Olympics,
at that time I asked Matsushita Nao-san to do the narration. Her clear voice matched the programme very much.
Above all, to have met her in-person was my bonus!!
I concretely felt that it was very good to work on this job.

I am off topic, that Master is also very good at narration is confirmed, I think I must ask him someday to do the narration for the programme!

One more thing. I could not keep my eyes off “Koi dance”.
It was the drama broadcast the same timeslot as Gutto-Sports…
At that time I was very regretful.. since it had already ended, I should be more~ tolerant…
Master also danced it. Well-. Master’s dance was very kawaii.
Indeed it was heart-throbbing to see Master enjoying doing it. Everyone was thinking so too right?
Gakki seemed also danced shyly, I felt lucky watching this!

Well, there are still lots of things I want to write, I shall continue tomorrow.

Today we shall continue talking about Master during Kouhaku.

One high point was, Master’s outfits.
At first Master started the programme in hakama.
I have seen [Master] in hakama several times [with ARASHI] before, this time only the Host dressed in hakama and I thought it looked more gorgeous.

I personally liked most the long jacket Master wore while singing Furusato.
Long jacket was very stylish.
That was a long coat which a person not tall enough would not be able to fit it,
I felt that if one wants to wear thickly one would somehow wear coat.
I thought it great~ and I felt jealous~ when seeing Master wear it.
I have also greeted the stylist-san during Kouhaku,
I was impressed by what they have prepared for Kouhaku.

What did you think about Master’s hosting?
Though there was a slip of tongue mentioning Banana Man’s name… that was pardonable.
Was it great for such feeling of live [broadcast]? Such thing would be pardonable.
In fact, if Master had more free time, he would have done even better,
but during the live broadcast many artists performed so it was inevitable [for such slip of tongue].

I bit laughed hearing [Master] saying “Let’s be with me together!”, a line derived from Oshiba Lou-san’s signature line.
I confirmed again the lovable character [of Master] including those bit embarrassing acts.

Ah. [Master] also did a little promotion to Gutto-Sports!
I hope this would motivate Gutto-Sports to be more and livelier and livelier.
I thought it must have been liven up.
By the way, it was not Gutto-Sports team to do the location filming of Miyake-san and the chef!

Anyhow, to Master who completed the longer-than-four-hour live broadcast
I would like to say thanks for your hard work & thank you.
I hope he could take some rest… I only worry about that.
From tomorrow the dome tour at Fukuoka will start.
The filming of Gutto-Sports will start again too.
With Master as the focus the staff of the production team will also work all together to make a great programme with the support from every one of you!

It’s been one week since Kouhaku. Time flies.
I received lots of message from all of you.

Though I knew that it was not related to Gutto-Sports, I read from the writings the overflowing emotions.
I think there must be various emotions surging through.
What’s more, there are various comments raised for Kouhaku this time.

There were many messages asking what I thought about Kouhaku this time.
When I watched the programme I also had various thoughts, I wanted to answer you…
but this HP may not be a good place for me to talk about this.

Though I write my personal thoughts here… this is a NHK official HP,
there is possibility that what I write is deemed as official comment..
I don’t have personal blog.
Things like what is good and what is bad, every single word is very heavy [when being published here].

The writing is really difficult, there is danger that the parts which I don’t intend to are featured, and then thing develops to an unexpected situation.

I update this HP with an intention to make Gutto-Sports livelier.
What’s more, I also have intention to make Master Aiba-san livelier.
Meeting Master, being fond of Master,
wanting to develop the programme more and more with this person, I update this HP with these thoughts.

From this point of view, writing my views on Kouhaku this time here would be bit difficult.
I can write as possible such as the appearance of Master during Kouhaku,
while the evaluation of the programme would be a different story.

I understand that there are various comments towards the programme. Please do pardon me.
I hope to be able to talk a bit when we meet.

1／8 updated! Today we’ll talk about the magazine interview related to Master.

This time, though it has been a while ago, I’ll write about an interview I did for a magazine which was related to Aiba-san.
A TV magazine made a special feature for Aiba-san,
and interviewed the producer-san of Manabu and me [on behalf of] Gutto-Sports.
Have you read that interview? I got messages that “I read it!”

I felt awkward somehow~ because I’ve always been in the position of interviewer.
Being interviewed gave me a feeling that I was tested…
I was expected “what would you say??” and there was pressure…
though it was also partially a pressure I gave to myself,
it was full of feeling of “away” which was different from usual.

However!! When the interview started, words that even surprised myself just came out and came out.
I talked about Master’s charm non-stop.
During that around-30-minute interview, I talked frankly about “Aiba-love”.

The magazine just published part of the interview, but I talked about 300 times of the love published!
Somehow I was in high spirit at the end…
When the interview completed I thought… “Ah~. I felt refreshed!”

And… I also secretly purchased the magazine. I shall keep this copy forever.

Producer-san of Manabu shared the same impression with me,
we discovered again that Master is indeed a great person.
It is not easy to correspond to different people, whoever he is, with the same attitude.
Um. Though I am older than Aiba-san, I felt that there are many things I can learn from him.
I think working with Master would purify my mind.

Late tonight at 01:05～02:18 there will be re-broadcast of “year-end SP”!
