Japan’s measures regarding “tension between US and North Korea”?
While the possibility of armed clash between the US and North Korea is pointed out
there is increasing caution.

This was an evacuation drill conducted in Akita Prefecture in March 2017.
In fact here is, in this country, the first drill assuming “launch of ballistic missile”.
In regard to the tense situation of the Korean Peninsula, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is calling attention to Japanese in North Korea and Korea as well as people who are going to go there.
Regarding North Korea
MOFA calls for “Avoid all travel” throughout the country.
And then Korea in where, including travelers, there are around 60,000 Japanese.
MOFA, because of North Korea repeating nuclear tests and launching missiles, released information on 11 April 2017.
Upon “In Korea, immediately there is no impact on the safety of Japanese” it calls for “please pay attention to the latest information”.
As a method to obtain such latest information,
MOFA is implementing a service called “Tabireg” [travel register].
When one registers information such as name, mail address, travel destination etc.
when an emergency occurs
information about safety and security will be sent through mail.
For instance, in March 2017
on the day when, in Korea, former President Park Geun Hye’s dismissal was determined.
“In case you encounter a demonstration, leave the spot quickly”
alert mail as such was delivered.
People registering “Tabireg”
remains just 10% of the total number of travelers
while if we only look at travelers to Korea
the registrants has doubled in the past week
reflecting an increasing caution against North Korea.
Even in the opinion poll conducted by NNN in the weekend
when asked “Do you feel close threat by the recent movement of North Korea?”
there was a surpassing 56.1% of respondents answering “I feel stronger threat than before”
35.3% answering “I feel threat”
while 7.1% answering “I don’t feel threat”.
Regarding the measures against this problem, at the National Diet, the opposition party inquired the government
“If the US carries out a preemptive strike, and North Korea takes revenge
there will be large sacrifice in Japan and Korea”.

Carrying out preemptive strike against North Korea should not be an option.

there is launch of missiles which is seen to affect Japan
information will be delivered via the system "J-Alert”.
Then, automatically the disaster prevention radio of cities, towns, and villages will make announcement
emergency alert mail will be sent to personal mobile phones.
Information will be delivered instantaneously on 24-hour basis.
How will the safety of the citizens be secured.
How to persuade for the collaboration of China which has an influence on North Korea.
Now they are becoming the major issues of Japan.
