arashitranslationNTV summer large-scale music special programme “THE MUSIC DAY Summer with wish come true” will be live broadcast form 13:00 on 1 July for 10 hours. The main host is decided to be ARASHI’s Sakurai Sho for the fifth consecutive year.
The regular NTV summer music festival “THE MUSIC DAY”. In its fifth year, the theme this year is set to be “Summer with wish come true”, artists who represent the current music scene will gather at Makuhari. Around 70 groups of luxurious performers will live broadcast heated performance which indicates the start of summer. In addition, there will be programmes of location filming and programmes for audience to take part in.
What’s more, this year’s programme theme song will be an original song produced by Hotei Tomoyasu-san. The programme will have a close up coverage on the recording of the song at London which is called the second hometown of Hotei-san. Facing people who love music, “in your heart win is blowing” the song is completed with refreshing instrumental. On the MUSIC DAY, the song will be performed for the first time in Makuhari Messe.
Also in this year, NTV will have simultaneous live broadcast at Asia countries via charged broadcast channel “GEM”. The area of broadcast will be bigger than last year, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, and newly Singapore and the Philippines are added to the list, the six countries will have the live broadcast at the same time (※ limited to certain time slots). Furthermore, on the MUSIC DAY, there will also be heated live performance from Singapore.
Sakurai-san who performs the main host for the fifth consecutive year, regarding the theme song created by Hotei-san, commented “The first ‘theme song’ is created by Hotei Tomoyasu-san. Until I am told by staff, I did not hear anything from Hotei-san, so it was a very big surprise to me. I am very pleased and excited about this.”
In addition, regarding the live broadcast at Asia countries, Sakurai-san said that “regarding everyone in Asia will watch this programme I have a tense feeling of ‘at last how many people will be watching it at the same time?’” and expressed his enthusiasm “with this programme delivering a feeling of ‘the beginning of summer’, until 24HTV which delivers the feeling of ‘the end of summer’ we shall run to our full gear”.
And, the performers will be announced in upcoming “ARASHI ni Shiyagare”.
