arashitranslationTalking about the challenge when being a member of ARASHI, as for my personal challenge, indeed the time when I first took the work of caster of “NEWS ZERO”, when I did the on-site news coverage during Olympics, I felt challenges. Because I wasn’t even be able to distinguish direction, I couldn’t but did it in my own way. There was no example (in Johnny’s), so I could only believe that what I did was correct. But, when I took these works for the first time, indeed I spent lots of time on preparation. No matter it’s study for examination or sports, all works are like that, you could only rely on “I’ve already studies a lot on that”, “I’ve already exercised a lot on that”. Therefore in order to get the pressure away, finally you can only rely on your own preparation and I still do my work in this way.
Regarding the relationship with members, though not frequent, after the concert completes, the five of us gather at the green room and drink wine, I enjoy such time. That isn’t particularly a debriefing, and there is no particularly important conversation. We’ve already been together for more than 15 years, I simply think that the time we five just have a drink casually is precious. Of course I have various thoughts towards the other four members. Though Ohno-san in normal circumstances is “silent Leader”, because of this, in the past, when we performed stage performance together, it was he who taught me various things. Because I did not know the way to memorise the script lines. I thought Ohno-san had rich experience. On the other hand, I am grateful towards Aiba-kun’s strength to light up the atmosphere of the work sites and enliven the temperature. During ARASHI five people’s programmes too, he has overwhelmingly many personal performances, but he manages to make various situation vivid. Because Aiba-kun creates such atmosphere, it is joyful when we work together. At the site of variety shows, because Nino’s mind turns fast, that he has interaction with geinin-san helps a lot. Though in rest time he plays game a lot (giggle), in the past, we two wrote song together, it was joyful that time. Nino played guitar, I wrote rap and made it into recording … it was great to be able to make such work. Though not an assignment, MatsuJun really works on concert to very detail. Every time, though the theme is decided by everyone, the details are handled by him. Even after the live and back to hotel he doesn’t have rest, he watches the video of that day and reviews that day’s performance like “it’ll great to do it this way here”, he is excellent.
