Shimura-san was admitted to hospital on 17 Mar. His agency announced on 25 Mar that he contracted COVID-19.

Such sad news...! I always enjoyed his show, he looked like the kindest person ever!I'm so sorry for his family and friends, specially Aiba-chan! Hope with the effort of everyone we can overcome this horrible situation and we can be of some comfort to the people that suffered through it!
