As my personal thought, Ohno is a person with tremendous talent. He is good at dancing, he is good at singing, he is good at drawing, though out of context, he is good at calligraphy as well.
Because he is really a gifted person, he has the potential to develop in other areas too, because he has rich talent.
And he has walked together with us for 20 years.
Therefore, I think that it is fine for him to take a rest.
It was not a hard work for me to play my role in this discussion, because this is about ourselves.
It is not that the thought of Ohno as Leader was accepted by the other four members, but that the thought of Ohno as one of the members, and all we five members managed to reach one landing place, I think this is the correct nuance.
Though it is a fact that he is Leader, there is never such a nuance that it was decided by the final word of Leader as the highest authority in the group.
We are companion who trust and respect each other, and, this is a group gathered by these four people, therefore, I think that it is only because it was the four of them so that we could come to this discussion.
We are a group where there is no so-called center. Since our debut, every time we photographed the jacket of our singles, the person in the center was changing, in that sense, what we were aiming at that time was a group that did not feel uncomfortable no matter who was going to be the center, including our staff, I think that we were aiming for this.
In that sense, it may be that there is no member who is jealous of the activeness of other members.
When there is need to have a center during photography, rather than “Ah, I want to go to the center”, I think we are members who are “It’s OK, it’s OK, you go to the center”.
We don’t have quarrel, though there are occasions that problems are raised out for discussion, probably it is me who raise out the problems. Even though I cannot remember them one by one immediately, when I do so, indeed these four members would listen attentively to me, “Ah, indeed that may be so”. None of the other four members would say “What? It’s fine, whatever”.
Since we are close in age, we have been together all the time since we were junior high school students, speaking so, we have a tremendous amount of shared memories.
If we hear a song, “Ah, it was the green room of that TV broadcaster, right?”, or, if we talk about a comics, we were doing it in junior high school grade 3, things like that.
I think there is also element of childhood friends.
When I was around 30 years old, I talked to the other four members, now we were grateful that we were cheered kya-kya by others. But one day, when we got older, one day this might not be the case anymore.
One day we might not be able to perform at Kokuritsu Stadium, one day we might not be able to perform at Dome. So I wanted to start preparing for this day from now, so that later when we got older, we would become a mature adult group, we talked about this when I was around 30 years old, though whether we managed to become so was another story.
Though I do not think that we are top, but suppose we have reached the top, then ahead of the top of the mountain, there is basically nothing but downward scenery, and we would like to prepare for this one day.
