Aiba Masaki:
ARASHI had its debut when I was 17 years old. It was ARASHI’s 1st year when I was 18 years old, I was not that busy at that time, surprisingly I had my own time.
I was still travelling from my family home in Chiba to work via train at that time, in the train I read a lot manga magazines. Because there still was not smartphone at that time.
I left home early and went shopping before work. I liked used clothes at that time. I went to shops in Harajuku to look for jeans and trainers.
If it was not vintage the used clothes were cheap (giggle), there were chances I picked up good bargains. This is the way I enjoyed my teenage fashion.
Matsumoto Jun:
Speaking of memory of my 18 years old, now I suddenly think about a necklace I frequently put on at that time, that was gone because it flew away during live (giggle).
That was originally not sold as a necklace, it was something like a key holder and I put a cord on it and used it as necklace.
Then after live when I was aware it was already gone… at the end I didn’t find it. I thought about buying the same key holder and make another one, but I didn’t find another item~
Because it was my favourite accessory I was a rather shocked. In the past I frequently put on rings and accessories when I danced in lives, none of them flew away, and after that time none did. That was the very only incident.
When I was 18 years old I filmed “The Kindaichi Case Files” (2001, NTV) and “Mayonaka no ARASHI” (2001 – 2002, NTV) started, it was an age when my works had various changes.
But, now, when I think about what I would recall my 18 years old, I immediately recall the necklace (bitter smile). So this is something more sorrowful than I thought?
Ninomiya Kazunari:
I was 18 years old when ARASHI was in around two years. In terms of private life, there can be nothing but game (giggle).
And then, surprisingly I got the driving license early. I got the driving license of 250cc motorcycle when I was 16 years old, because the theory study was almost the same, I passed it and just went for the technique test.
During the practice of lifesaving skills, everyone was embarrassed to practice. Therefore, I did it earnestly. And then the teacher told me “you don’t have to practice to such extent” and I remembered this episode clearly (giggle).
Ohno Satoshi:
My 18 years old was a vigorous year. It was the last year of the around three year time I stayed in Kyoto for the “Johnny’s Fantasy KYO TO KYO” stage performance.
There were more audience watching the performance than the beginning, even in the sense that this would something I should do, I felt fulfilling. This was a performance which we Jr. produced and the show time was all done by ourselves.
Though it was fulfilling, when I returned to Tokyo, I was indeed happy (giggle), I tried my best but still I wanted to go home, in these three years I was satisfied.
To me, my 18 years old was a good year that I did what I should do and then got satisfied and return to Tokyo leaving nothing behind in Kyoto.
But I was still fluctuated emotionally when I was 18 years old.
When I returned to Tokyo I had work immediately. But, I almost had no work three months after that and I was living commonly. At that time I had no idea what happened to me. I was also at a loss of my future.
Should I resign from Johnny’s and go to work, should I go to art school to learn drawing. When I kept on thinking about this, I was brought to Hawaii and became ARASHI (giggle).
Sakurai Sho:
This is a year when I was in high school grade 3 and had debut as ARASHI. Strictly speaking I was 17 years old yet to have my 18th birthday, and this was a year which my life changed.
While I was a common high school grade 3 student, I became a so-called entertainer, it was the year which I have the most change.
In fact I worried a lot about “what would happen from now on?”, but 18 years passed since then and I am still can be ARASHI, I am grateful for every day.
Now, I think I have passed half of my life time as ARASHI, I am deeply moved by this.

Date: 2018-05-10 03:09 pm (UTC)When Nino talked about lifesaving skills, I wonder, did he mean that mouth to mouth thing? I can't imagine what else could be embarrasing.. but how is it possible to do it "too earnestly" XD
