S: (Welcomed by 1,000 people attending the event) We’ve been interviewed by various broadcasters and I am filled with uplifting feeling as if I were a foreign star.

S: (To fan) Sorry having kept you all waiting until we appeared, thank you for attending the event.

S: I heard that Midtown Hibiya opened and I wanted to visit here, so I’m glad that today I could visit here in such red-carpet event.

S: (Solo lead actor in movie first time since four years) What a period of spare time…

S: (Joining Miike team) I was happy to be able to work with Director Miike again the first time in around ten years (since “Yatterman”) on a movie of totally different taste. It may be impudent for me to say so but since there are staff in the team with whom I was familiar at that time, I felt like coming back to hometown and meeting my previous classmates again. / Because there were staff with whom I was familiar, the filming was conducted in a tender atmosphere as if I have been with them half year ago.

Director Miike on Sho-san: He hasn’t changed at all. He is a person who treats us and the staff in the filming site the same. People talk to him very casually. It is actually difficult for such a stop star to communicate with staff laterally but not vertically (communicate with no hierarchy). Staff have become his fans.
S: I am overwhelmed. I am happy about this, I am grateful that staff of Miike’s team welcomed me.

S: (Appeal the movie) Starting from Hirose-san and Fukushi-san, this is a movie full of super luxurious casts’ expressions and acting which have never been seen before. It is an entertainment work with a much larger scale than what I first imagine.

S: (On training before movie) We started “Hirose Boot Camp” even before the climax scene was filming. When I was doing it 10 minutes, 15 minutes, and then 20 minutes, then I was called on time I was sweaty. I reflected very strongly afterwards.

S: (On filming climax scene) The climax scene was filmed among strong wind, we used 3 – 4 super big fans to make that scene. And the earth just danced in air like this. When I was home and washed my hair, the water became brown. There was full of earth in my hair. (ZIP)

S: I was really surprised by applause, it’s not common to be applauded like this in daily life. (Q: Aren’t you used to these applause?) No, I just live like common people (giggle)! Today I also go home and clean my bath and do the laundry (giggle)! (Mezamashi TV)
