Popular group, ARASHI’s 16th original album “「untitled」” (released on 18 October) recorded a sales of 668,000 copies in the first week, and reached No.1 in the 10/30 Oricon weekly album ranking. The first-week sales was a good start exceeding previous alubum 『Are You Happy？』(released October last year) with 637,000 sales in the first week, being the 16th work which achieved the top in total album sales.
ARASHI has its 16th work achieving the top in total album sales, which is the No.1 record in history among male artists (including solo artists). In terms of consecutively No.1, this album is also the No.1 album sales for 14 consecutive years since “Iza, Now” (2004), which updated the No.1 record in history among male and female groups.
The lead song “Mikan” is a song full of sense of speed including “Japanese”, “digital”, “classic”, hiphop” which ARASHI has worked on thus far. And, it includes “Song for you”, a masterpiece with over 10 minutes which is the first try of the group.
Along with this work, the five dome tours from 17 November at Hokkaido, Sapporo Dome performance will start.
