2017 House of Representatives Election - Comparison of Pledges ① “Education”
On 22 October, there will be casting and counting votes of the House of Representatives Election.
“Ichimen!” will look into the pledges of various political parties
about the “point of controversy” closely related to our lives.
Today what is paid attention is “education”.
In particular the decline in birth rate casts shadows onto the future of Japan.
There is such a survey.
For instance,
“Though in fact I want two children, I do not bear the second one” etc.
when the reason of not having their own ideal number of children
was asked to couples, an overwhelmingly large number of responses was
“economic reason” such as
“Because the expenditure on childcare and education is too much”.
There are also international data to support this.
As for the expenditure on early childhood education
In the occasion of Japan, the ratio responsible by the government is 46%.
The remaining would be responsible by the individual and household.
However the average ratio responsible by major countries is 82%.
There are many countries which the burden of individual and household is light.
Furthermore, as for the ratio for higher education such as university, Japan government is responsible for 34%.
In contrast, the average ratio of major countries is 70%.
Compared with the world, in Japan
the burden on individual and household is heavy.
“Cost on education is too much”.
How would the politics address this present situation?
The pledges of various political parties are illustrated as follows.
Looking in this way
such as free education, the pledges of various parties, to certain extent
seem to have common points...
During the election campaign
“When will this be achieved?”
Also, “What to do with the financial resources?”
Such issues are to be concerned.
Each vote of the election is “What sort of policy do I want to achieve”
it is also a chance to convey our requests to the Diet.
The election day will be on 22 October.
If you would not be available to vote on the election day
you may attend the early voting.
