This year's theme is "Songs We Want to Sing".
From masterpieces to be passed down beyond history to the new songs people want to listen now,
approximately 70 groups of gorgeous artists will be performing live!

And this year there will be 10 special medleys during the 11-hour live which is the most in history!
Please look forward to the performance that can only be seen in THE MUSIC DAY!

180609 THE MUSIC DAY 2018 - Sakurai Sho Comment

This year the programme will be a 11-hour live which is one hour longer than last year.

For certain the latest songs will be performed, while there will also be lots of masterpieces of past years, it would be great if the programme would be "a place to meet music" in real time for the generation who did not know these masterpieces.

While I am also honoured to be able to participate in THE MUSIC DAY as artist, it is my pleasure to introduce, as MC, the artists I admire, and I also very much look forward to watching the performances up close.

This year there will be 10 medleys that can only been watched in this programme. I hope that ARASHI's performance in the medley would adorn the perfection.
