We made a sudden announcement.
After 31 December 2020, ARASHI will suspend our group activities for once.
We conducted a press conference, and we had released our comments, also we had videos for our fans, we have conveyed all we would like to convey, we the members had many discussions then we came to one answer which we all agreed with.
I think that there are many people who would feel lonely about this.

We should be the ones who say thank you. Really we are in deep gratitude, because our fans are here so that we are able to see various sceneries, really.

I am really happy to hear this mail, Sasaki-san who is high school student now, uwa ... it’s great.
We are really a group loved by our fans, once again, we are deeply grateful.
We really would like our fans to have fun, and we have set a timeline, first of all we shall work to our best 100%, 120% on our performance that people would enjoy, everyone please continue staying with us in the future.

This year too, I have a problem of having too much somen noodle left. I like somen and buy somen myself. And I have many business trips this year. (C: So you don’t have much time at home.) I made curry somen for myself. I like curry somen so made it after long time. I do training and my body has a lot of exercise, right? But I Just fried the curry and I got muscle pain. The place between the right thumb and right index finger, the place like the webbing, there was muscle pain for long time, because I have been frying onions. I fried lots of onion, I thought I’ve been doing it for an hour. Because I’ve been doing it, the next day I got muscle pain and I thought “it’s painful~”. But that was tasty.

According to the seasons, things we want to eat may change too.

(Chika-san bought Masaki hard pudding from convenient shop nearby) Thanks~ Can I have one? Even I invert it, it doesn’t fall. It doesn’t shake. It’s hard~ It’s good~ I shall start eating. It’s hard but it’s soft inside. It’s tasty. But the padding I talk about, the top of pudding is hard, right? It’s about five times harder than this (laugh). It’s hard to the extent that it’s resistant to the plastic spoon. It’s not juicy while it’s very tasty.

(C: 15 Sept, ARASHI Group Debut, 19 years.)

It’s 19 years, from now on we are starting our 20th year. We had our group debut on 15 Sept, while our CD debut was 3 Nov, so there is counting of anniversary from both these dates.

(C: So on 3 Nov ARASHI has completed 19 years and is in 20th year.)

In terms of this we basically count anniversary like this.

Iced coffee. I also drink iced coffee today too.

(Mail: When you drink cream soda, do you mix them together?)
I don’t drink cream soda. I don’t order it. I don’t order cola float either. Though I order parfait, I don’t order cream soda. I order cola to drink cola, and I order ice cream separately.

(For choco cookie, there are people who only eat choco first then eat cookie). I am that one. For that black biscuit, I just peel off the cookie and eat it. I did it when I was small, I don’t do it anymore and when my younger brother does it I’m like “What are you doing~”.

(Mail: What is Aiba-kun’s mobile ringtone?)
Mine is vibration. Because there are incoming calls during filming or radio recording. Because men put the mobile in pockets, right? We may not be aware of that. But it’s better to be vibration than silence, right? If the mobile is turned silent, you don’t know any calls at all. At least turn on the vibration. Because there may be possibility of missing if one is unable to be contacted immediately during emergency.

I like talking over phone than sending mails. If the rally continues, I’ll be like “let me call you to talk”. There is rally coming right away, right? When it’s definitely faster to talk, I’ll call.

(Mail: Would ARASHI call each other’s name without honorific title? Like “Ohno”, “Matsumoto”, “Aiba”?)
We don’t use honorific title in ARASHI. We call each other “Leader”, “MatsuJun”, “Nino-chan”. We don’t use “kun” or “chan”. The way we call each other doesn’t change. (C: Sakurai-kun?) I called him Sakurai-kun. (C: Did you call him Sa-chan?) No no no no. I called him Sakurai-kun. (C: Did you also call Matsumoto-kun Ma-chan?) No I don’t call him Ma-chan. Sorry, I don’t.

(Mail: Where would Aiba-san like to go when you go overseas?)
But it depends on purpose. City? New York? Or Hawaii? Island? Vacation? I can choose anywhere? Unexpectedly, Taiwanese cuisine is very tasty and Taiwan is near. Korea is good. Guam is surprisingly good too. They are near. Hawaii is the best. This is an era where there are lots of information where you can investigate. If you have any place where you want to go to now, it’s better that you go for this journey.

(Mail: What does Aiba-kun want to do definitely in your life from now on?)
I have thought about it recently. I want to do cruising journey, the very big cruiser. Riding on a big cruiser, and spending two to three months travelling around the world. I want to try that. There are streets in the cruiser, right? And there is pool. It’s great, right? I want to try that. And train journey is great, too. There are such journeys in Japan too, like “Seven Stars”, right? I want to try spending my days all along in the train and travelling by this. (C: So let’s make it an anniversary project of this radio programme) Definitely impossible. I think it’s definitely impossible. Maybe possible for a three-day journey.

Remark: This was O.A. on 15 Sept, the day ARASHI had group debut. So I translate it as a little gift to ARASHI. Thanks a lot ARASHI and congratulations.

[About “untitled”]
A: Right, album “untitled” is on sale. For those who bought it, thank you very much! This time it’s a very aggressive and fresh album, there is a dramatic song with over 10 minutes, and one big difference is that there is no solo this time but unit songs with two or three members.
A: The lead song “Mikan”, how to say, the tempo changes, it’s quite an incoherent song. There is fresh song and songs with wide spectrum in this album.
Chika: Do Aiba-san listen to songs at home or in car?
A: We listen to songs via mobile. As mentioned in previous week, though it’s not calendar, it’s like the same thing. The songs in our mobiles are updated. Isn’t it great? It’s great, right?
Chika: Songs shared among staff.
A: Yes yes yes, “the song is made, please listen to it” there is such mail, then I open the app, then I can listen to all the songs. When our songs are ready they will be voices too, when our voices are added.
Chika: I want this app!
A: Ahaha no way~ this is only for ARASHI~ (giggle) This is how we make songs. When the songs are ready, “album songs are with such order” the songs are updated like this. So for “untitled”, the songs are updated like this, I open the album to listen to the songs.
Chika: It’s great, ARASHI.
A: It’s great, right?
Chika: It’s great, Aiba-san.
A: Because it’s ARASHI. Via this way we share all information. When listening to the songs, “Ah I sing in this part” things like this ... I look forward to this. Even the parts for singing is decided, according to the demo, the atmosphere of ARASHI’s singing may change. That is fun.
A: There is a song called “Sugar”, I sang the full song, from very start to very end. Later I’ll broadcast this song, then we’ll start the programme, today. “Sugar”. This was tough, there was lots of singing. Though I bit said it’s tough, “Sugar” is a nostalgic and bit sexy song.

[About “UB”]
A: As for unit song, I and Nino perform a song called “UB”. “We want to make a song with such feeling”, with a clear vision we chose this song. We want to make it a charming song during live. Though there is yet choreography, we asked foreign choreographers to make it for us, this time. Such genre is not done by many Japanese, I think there are not many people doing this. Therefore we asked foreign choreographers to work on this song, I look forward to this too.

[About Bazuri Night]
A: And then three people, Leader, Sho-chan, and I, we perform Bazuri Night. This is a vivid song. The performance will be very vivid too. I don’t know what would happen~ It’s a song that would make the live exciting, such feeling~ People who come to live please do enjoy~

[About difference in doing TV and radio programmes]
A: I am more like myself when doing radio programmes than TV programmes. Because, indeed when I work for TV programmes, the clothes need to be changed, and there is bit hair-make, then it comes to official filming. For radio programmes I just come and sit, and have chats (giggle) like “let’s do it~”, indeed the feeling is more like myself. And then we can’t do private cloth check on TV programmes, but in radio programmes we can say “Chika-san is with sandals, and today you have a great rough hat”, things like that.

[About episode of failure in living alone]
A: Failure… Before I live alone, there was time I lived in boarding house with Jr., we played game, it was fun though, when I first lived alone it felt lonely. Because it is free living alone, no matter when I come back home, I won’t wake my parents up, though “(mother) you make meal for me, thank you” I can’t express my gratitude like this (because he lives apart from his mother). There is no person to play game with me, and when I am back home there is no meal and I don’t cook. It was lonely and tough. Though I learned, I was bad at laundry and drying clothes.
A: I had slept when I was in bath. Because it was warm, when I noticed that I was like swelling. It happened a lot when I was young, well, twice or three times. I don’t lose my home keys but I did forget to lock the door. So when I opened the door without key I thought “Scary!” things like that. But on the other hand there are fun things living alone, exciting things.
A: When I start living alone I thank my parents.

[Curry and Monja]
- At start Masaki-san said that the studio was full of curry smell (he brought curry soumen to studio, Chika-san tasted it).
- Masaki-san didn’t eat curry soumen (fine noodles) recently but ate a lot in the past.
- The way he ate curry was in the first day, he made curry rice, in the second day, there was no rice, then he made curry soumen, it was like tsukemen (noodles with dipping sauce). It was very delicious. It was the best taste in summer.
- Recently Masaki-san didn’t make curry, he is indulged in making monja (Japanese pan-fried batter). He bought the iron plate with portable gas stove. The monja he made included ingredients of pork, cabbage, mentaiko, mochi, he also put in cheese. It was delicious. But it should be careful not to eat too much because mentaiko is fish egg. Then he added curry powder into the monja.

[Pair getting married]
- A mail said that the male and female working together such as vocal and guitarist in a band or MC of programme and assistant are likely to get married. Masaki-san said that when he watched ice skate show, the pair skaters were likely to marry, when he knew that the pair skaters got married he was surprised.

[Warau Seerusuman]
- When Masaki-san was small he learned a lot from Warau Seerusuman (The Laughing Salesman). The characters did something they shouldn’t do and then their lives fell, until they fell they were living a good life. (The Laughing Salesman) pulled them out from the bottom one time, though they could live a good life then they went haywire and they fell again. Every time it was the same. He said let’s live our lives seriously (decently).

[Cleaning bathroom]
- A mail asking Masaki-san if “trivial such as cleaning the bathroom is left for servants” (neta of Kizoku Tantei). Masaki-san giggled “ha~ha” in kawaii way after listening to this.
- Masaki-san followed the neta that agreement with the servants ended, he cleans the bathroom himself.
- When he is going to take a bath, he washes the bathtub properly then put hot water in. When he finishes shower, he does not clean the bathtub because he takes shower fast.
- When he comes out of bathtub he drains all the water out. When there is water there will be mould, though it is inevitable to have mould, it is better to drain the water out.
- (When one lives alone and needs to clean bathroom) it’s good to clean it before taking a bath, then drain the water after the bath. Then (the cleaning work) will be easier.

[Masaki-san’s Best Three Chinese cuisine]
- 3rd: Stir-fried liver and Chinese chives.
- 2nd: Spring roll (Masaki-san said he has lots of favourites and it’s difficult to choose)
- 1st: Gyoza. It should be gyoza, right?
- With them Masaki-san can survive one month.
- Masaki-san likes gyoza no matter it’s made by his father or others.
- Masaki-san eats Gyoza with rice.
- Masaki-san dips gyoza with one sauce only, gradually he puts in more vinegar and chili oil when he grew up.

[Angel-chan episode]
C: Mail - “The Angel-chan episode is continuing recently.”
A: Haha, Indeed it’s continuing.
C: “Month ago Fujii Ryusei-kun in magazine talked about he received mail from Angel. Fujii-kun was talking about Aiba-san when he talked about angel-chan.”
A: Right right right I sent the mail in this radio programme.
C: “Ryusei-kun seemed happy and talked about it in various occasions.”
A: Indeed he still talks about it, angel-chan. Ahahahahaha. What is this angel-chan about? (Giggle) In terms of kouhai, recently I met Inoo. That guy sent me pretty many mails, like “I am going to have a magazine interview at anan”. He filmed my anan cover photo using his own mobile and sent it to me. “I’ll make a pose like Aiba-kun”. He is making fool of me, right? I think that guy is making fool of me (giggle).
C: You have quite some episodes with kouhai-san recently, right?
A: I have quite some works with them. At Shimura Doubutsuen, I had dance with Inoo, we two. Do you know “Ino Shira”? That is Mezameshi TV’s Inoo’ corner. I appeared in it recently.
C: So including them, what about having an angel gathering next time?
A: Angel gathering? It’s bit terrible, somehow (giggle). It’s terrible, too fairy tale. There will not be any angel gathering, absolutely not.

[Aiba-san’s power source: Your smile]
C: Mail - “Aiba-san is busy everyday in drama filming, regular programme filming, magazine filming etc.”
A: No no I’m not, it’s OK.
C: “I have a question. Why, in such very busy moments, can Aiba-san still be so genki? Recently my power source is Aiba-chan’s smiling face.”
A: I’m so happy that Kane-san is happy.
C: “Compared with Aiba-chan my work is not tough at all, I think I can do more, every day I challenge various things.”

A: Magazine too, “Magazine or your smiling face is my power source”, there is such catch ball, in this radio programme, now it’s this radio programme, in the fanclub bulletin, not bulletin, in the site, now, though it’s for the drama, there are such catch balls too (in J-web Aiba-san has a corner for Kizoku Tantei and people can write messages to him and he answers some messages), I have a concrete feeling about this.
