The horror of forest fire
Today, forest fire occurred one after another in various places.
In Japan of which around 70% of land is forest
in average there are 4 forest fire incidents per day,
in a year there are around 1,600 forest fire incidents, with a damage cost of nearly 600 million yen.

occurs more frequently in season from March until May.

March 2015, during the forest fire occurred in Okaya City of Nagano Prefecture
around 45 hectares of land was burned,
the reason was “mismanagement of the incense offered to the grave”.
Small fire like incense became flying sparks,
forests and fields equivalent to around 10 Tokyo Domes were burned…
this is the horror of forest fire.
Then why is extinguishment of forest fire difficult?
According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency and the Forestry Agency…
■ Compared with residential area, the road condition of forest is bad etc., geographically and topographically it is tough for fire extinguishment team to go to the place
■ While fire extinguishment from the sky is the main measure, fire is easy to be widespread
■ Furthermore, in there are bad conditions such as dryness and strong wind mixing together, in short time, fire will spread widely
There seem such reasons.
In current season, activities such as barbecue
while cases of handling fire will also increase,
■ In order to extinguish fire at any time, prepare water and fire extinguisher
■ Keep an eye on fire, do not leave fire alone
■ Even fire is not seen there may be fire left, so make sure fire is extinguished.
