The testimony started this morning (23 Mar). Here are some key updates up to 12:30JPT (from NHK News Web):-
10:22: Kagoike testified that he received 1 million yen from Mrs Akie Abe and Mrs Abe said that the money was from Prime Minister Abe. The money was put in an envelope.
11:22: Kagoike testified that he paid 100,000 yen to Mrs Abe during her lecture in September 2015. He put the envelope containing the 100,000 yen into a sweet bag.
12:03: Kagoike said that he would like to apologise for the discrepancies of construction costs in contract documents. Kagoike testified that he received 100 million from Mrs Abe on 5 Sept 2016. She said that the money was from Prime Minister Abe. Kagoike testified that he asked a lawyer to handle all the issues regarding the land transaction and was bit surprised when hearing that the price was more than 800 million yen cheaper.
12:25: Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga held a press conference denying the testimony by Kagoike about receiving donation from Prime Minster Abe and Mrs Abe.
