M: When we formed this group, Leader didn’t indirectly drink the same drink with us.
N: He didn’t like that.
A: He is sensitive isn’t he.
M: But around two years after debut, surprisingly that became OK. Until then, I remembered that he didn’t like sharing food or drink that others have had.
N: Once I wanted to drink the melon soda Ohno-san was drinking, he didn’t give it to me. I asked several times and at last he took a big sip and then gave the rest to me.
S: Do you dislike it now?
O: Not at all now.
A: Really OK? Not that you were tolerating but really OK with it?
O: It’s just simply I don’t understand why others want to drink what I drink?
S: So you are not obsessed with cleanliness?
O: At that time I thought I was a little bit.

Aoki: Do other members dislike drinking what other members drink?
M: Not at all.
A: No.
S: Any member will be fine. In fact we don’t have much chance sharing drinks, but it’s fine sharing.
A: Not dislike at all.
O: OK even now?
S: Totally OK.
M: You are not OK?
O: Not that I’m not OK, but don’t you have even slightest resistance at all?
A: Not at all.
N: We haven’t since long time ago.

Masaki’s reason
A: In the past, Ohno-san wore boots, and used trendy accessories. He looked cool, but recently he comes to work with slippers. He totally changed.
S: During Jr. time, you wore gold necklace didn’t you?
O: Yes I did. I was cool in the past.
Aoki: Now you look handsome too.
N: Now you don’t think about dress in that way.
S: Hope you’d think about it. But do you think about “I want to put on that necklace” now?
O: No, in fact, no.
S: When did you give up that thought?
A: What happened? You had quite a lot boots.
N: Everyone wants to know. Please tell us.
S: When? When?
O: Is it better that I dress like that?
S: The image is a bit different from what we had when we met for the first time.

S: I clearly remembered the first time I met Matsumoto-kun. 1996 summer musical. He was thin. He had an image of delicately small. And then now, he is masculine. I can’t believe it.
Aoki: In the programme of other broadcaster [VSA], [Matsumoto-san] took memo of what Takki taught.
S: You watched the programme!

Leader’s reason
O: My reason is the same as Sho-chan. When I first met [Jun], he looked [a gesture indicating that Jun was just tall up to his waist].
M: I was that small?? (laugh)
O: The image was he’s really small, like a baby. Then I went to Kyoto once, two years, for stage performance, then when I was back, he already grew up, and then we had debut like that. And then three, four years since he kept changing. I felt that he gradually grew up.
S: Now is he still growing up?
O: Gradually growing up.
M: Thank you. I am stretching.
N: But on mental side, he doesn’t change. He is always a serious person.
A: I really remember this. He was thin but he put on big shoes.
M: Yes I did.
A: The shoes were not proportional to his height. I had such image.
Aoki: Indeed in the drama “Bokura no yuuki ~miman toushi~” [Matsumoto-san] has a difference in height compared with Aiba-san.

N: We knew each other for long time, he was not that talkative, he was silent in the past. He is not such a person to fight again kangaroo and lion. That was unimaginable.
S: You two were always together weren’t you, during Jr. time. The two families also get along well isn’t it?
N: Yes.
S: When was the first acquaintance?
N: Concert.
M: Nagano Sun Plaza.
A: I didn’t appear on that concert.

N: That was probably the first time we met.
A: We met there, and went home together.

M: YamaP didn’t have mobile.
A: Yes. Because YamaP was small then.
N: YamaP was like a kouhai close to us, once after a concert it was snowing, when we went home, YamaP was troubled by a man. The man said “What’s wrong with you?!” to YamaP, that was not good, and since I was senpai, I had to help him. Then I went to them, and I slipped on snow. And then YamaP kneeled to ask me if I was OK. Such episodes were countless.

Aoki: These friends who have spent your teen age together, after 20 years, you are going to perform special programme together [ARASHI ni Shiyagare 3-hour Special featuring YamaP and Kame in This is MJ].
S: It would be an impressive episode.

M: Nino’s hand is very soft.
S: Puni-puni.
M: The touch of his hand is soft. Like hamburg steak.

A: Would’ve been great to have that (that instrument for the gag).
N: Everyone in ARASHI laughs with this.
S: Our favourite gag. Though in fact I was bit worried about the atmosphere of the studio. (giggle)
N: Sorry (giggle).
A: MatsuJun, I have image that he has been flexible in physicality all along.
M: My bending forward is flexible. (Bended forward flexibly)
A: Right. So I chose MatsuJun.

S: Though I also thought it was MatsuJun, recently when I saw Aiba Masaki…
